Join us in celebrating the work of our PrideFest Plus One beneficiary, The Healing Center, on April 27.

Hope Shining Blue is an annual event to honor survivors of sexual violence.  The event raises funds for The Healing Center, a Well Community program of Aurora Health Care dedicated to helping survivors thrive and heal, and commemorates Denim Day, an international movement to end victim blaming and promote sexual violence awareness.

Hope Shining Blue also supports Aurora’s Abuse Response services in Milwaukee, including the Sexual Assault Treatment Center and Safe Mom Safe Baby program.

You’re invited to join us on Wednesday, April 27 for a night of inspiration and triumph, which features presentations from Healing Center clients, a fashion show with client models, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, silent auction, and demonstrations of art and pet therapy, all within a vibrant, uplifting club atmosphere.  Your gift, in the form of a $75 ticket, can truly change a life.

“One of our goals this year is raising awareness of our support services for men and boys,” said Maryann Clesceri, executive director of the Healing Center.  “We want every survivor to know: it is never, ever your fault.  We want every survivor to know: you have the right to heal.”

The Healing Center’s mission is to offer sexual abuse and assault survivors, and their loved ones, opportunities for healing through support, advocacy and education.  The Healing Center is committed to providing free and holistic services, a knowledgeable and caring staff, and a respectful environment that honors confidentiality and privacy.

The Healing Center, located in Milwaukee’s Historic Walker’s Point neighborhood since 2000, is nationally recognized for its unique model of care.  It is believed to be the only facility of its type in the nation.
