2015 PrideFest Plus One campaign raises $4,631

Tim Baack and Craig Leren accepted today’s donation from Jorna Taylor, development director of Milwaukee Pride, Inc.

Thanks to generous PrideFest ticket holders, the Plus One campaign raised $4,631 for this year’s beneficiary, the Pathfinders Q*Blok program.

“Your gift will have a direct effect on the life of an LGBT+ youth who is currently homeless,” said Pathfinders President and CEO Tim Baack. “These dollars will provide safe housing for an entire year.  This really means the world to our clients, and to us, to have your support.”

Individual dollars were raised through the “Add Plus One” box office option, both online and at the festival gates.  Thanks to thoughtful contributions from ManpowerGroup and The Advocate Magazine, our community was able to make an even bigger impact.

“This year’s Plus One campaign shined a light on a problem that often hides in the darkness,” said Jorna Taylor,  Milwaukee Pride, Inc. development director.  “When LGBT youth lose the safety and security of a home environment, they lose the foundation of their future. We believe in securing the future of our LGBT+ community — by supporting at-risk youth in the here and now.”
