Alverno GSA to host 9th Annual Drag Show

The Alverno Gay-Straight Alliance will host its 9th Annual Drag Show on Saturday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m.

This event is free, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages.  Bring your friends and family!

This year’s entertainment line-up includes an array of drag, variety and stage acts by Alverno students and professional guest performers, including some PrideFest Milwaukee favorites!
Performers include Colin Acumen, Stardoe, Neimyiah Whittley,  ScorpiErotic, Old School AJ, Melee McQueen, Mannheim Gorgeous, Natalie Scholl, Jeannette Daft,  Sylvia Nix, Leo Long, Panic at the Drag Show, Dick Fitswell and many others. At this time, the schedule is completely full.

alvernodrag1Venue doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.  Guests are encouraged to arrive early — seats are first come, first serve, and the event is expected to reach capacity before showtime.

Free parking is available in the Alverno parking structure near 43rd Street.  To access the Alverno Commons, enter through the Sister Joel Read Center rotunda and continue to

Parking for this event is FREE as well; just park in the parking structure off of 43rd. To get to the commons, enter through the rotunda (Sister Joel Read Center) and continue to Founder’s Hall.

The 9th Annual Drag Show also supports Pathfinders, a cause near and dear to Milwaukee Pride’s mission and purpose.

Rather than pay admission, guests are invited to pay with a merchandise donation to Pathfinders, including:

  • Body wash
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste
  • Ethnic hair products (shampoo, condition, hair oil, shea butter, cocoa butter)
  • Blankets
  • Single serve snacks
  • Retail store gift cards

Cash or check contributions to Pathfinders will also be accepted.
